First Piece of 'Legible' Art

Kyla has been improving in her drawing lately. Recently, she drew a tiger which I thought was really great. Enjoy her art of work...

First Stage of Packing

Storeroom was our first target to clear up as we have stacked up years of rubbish in it. When we packed, there were many hidden treasures, which unfortunately ended up in the dustbin as it was not possible to keep everything and anything with the limited storage place that we have.

Look below at the amount of things we will be keeping (from store room alone) and this is only part of it. The other half of the store is stored in the storeroom and will be going with us in shipment.

Yet to clear:wardrobes, study room, kitchen (partially cleared) and toy room. All have to be cleared within the next two weeks. Oh man! (Kyla's expression)

Whirlwind...

I am now sort of in a whirlwind pool. Too many things to do and too little time...Very soon, I am going to be a 'crazy' busy woman...

Letter of Withdrawal

The time has come to give the letter of withdrawal from Gracefields Kindergarten for Term 2. I thought I would feel nothing much about pulling Kyla out of school and enrolling her into another school overseas. But I was wrong. In fact, I was feeling quite sad about it. I cannot imagine how much tears will roll down my cheeks at the day of departure.

This morning, I went down personally to pass the letter to Kyla's form teacher, Mrs Cheong. We had a short conversation about Kyla's progress in school. Mrs Cheong feedback was that Kyla was the big sister in class, leading her classmates in song and dance. Her voice was the loudest (inherited from her hainanese mother genes) in class. Very participative child. Her absence was felt when we went Hongkong for holidays. When I hear all these, I felt even sadder. Although it was a short one term, I saw how much Kyla has bloomed in terms of sensibility, reading ability and learning how to care for her brother. She enjoys school very much and it is a real pity that she can't continue her kindy years with Gracefields.
